Grant Moedl - Found

For those who have been wondering - they did find him, but unfortunately he wasn't alive. I pulled this information off of his Facebook page to share. So far I haven't been able to find any articles or anything to share. I'll post those later when I find them.

The roof of the silver 2008 Suburu Outback he was driving was spotted by a photographer working int he reservoir area. That photographer, who was not identified, immediately called law enforcement agencies around 4:48 p.m. Sunday.

Moedl's body was found in the vehicle, which was pulled from the reservoir, just off Highway 20 near mile marker 27.

Poster

A photo I entered into the photo contest at the library. Took me a year to get the caption for the photo and the image together - but I think it makes a wonderful poster.

Moving!!!

A decision has finally been reached. And I think it's about time.

This is the place we're moving:

Flagstaff Arizona

And this is where Sam will be going to school - Northern Arizona University - to study more mechanical engineering.

And I am SOOO excited! (Don't you just love the architecture of this building? I've got to find out what it is and photograph it myself!)

You see, it's a great place to be. We can still have snow but not the Idaho kind of nasty icy snow that sticks around for 6 months at a time. I honestly don't know if Sam could truly be happy somewhere where it didn't snow at least some each winter. I've heard the wind blows here all the time, but I imagine it will be quite different than the bitter cold Rexburg wind that can make you feel cold when it's 70 degrees outside.

Plus Sam promised a long time ago - when he first applied to NAU - that he would take me here if we moved to Arizona:

How insane is it that I have never seen the Grand Canyon? Way too insane. It's on my list of 100 things to do before I die. I'm so excited to be moving closer to this beautiful place on earth.

And I want to go here:

The only place in the United Sates where four states meet at a perfect corner. I can be in 4 places at once! How cool is that? Plus I've never been to New Mexico and if I want to get to all 50 states I've got to go there sometime.

And I should definitely go here too:

Kartchner Caverns named for Grandma MacCabe's family - somewhere down the line. They found these beautiful caverns and I've always wanted to see them. Plus I'm related to them. Cool huh?

We'll be in Arizona for at least 2 years while Sam works on his degree either in Product Design or Alternative Energy. He's still not certain on exactly what program to go into - but they have both. The main this is that we finally know where we're moving in August. And I'm way excited.

I am not looking forward to meeting lots of scorpions - but I do want to see some at night - I understand they glow in the dark. So long as they're not in my house at night...actually, so long as they're not in my house period...but at least I know how to react to them. My cousin Katie blogged all about it. Thanks Katie!

Homemade Hot Chocolate Mix

I suppose it's a little late in the season to be posting this - but at least I'll have it here if I ever need it again.

This makes about 5 quarts of dry mix - and it costs about $12 to make.

8 qt box pwd milk (9 cups)
1 lb box pwd sugar (4 cups)
1 lb box pwd chocolate milk - like Nesquick (5 cups) *this makes pretty sweet hot chocolate mix - if you don't want it to be so sweet just put 4 cups of of the chocolate milk mix and then 1 cup of coco powder
10 oz jar pwd creamer (3 cups)

Mix all together in a large bowl. Store in a 5 quart container with a tight lid. 3 heaping spoonfulls for an 8 oz mug of hot water. (Don't use milk because of the powdered milk)

New Photo Prop

What do you think? I think she needs a name - don't you? I just haven't come up with a good name yet.

My name is Stacy...

...and I'm addicted to Pinterest. And I'm a Mormon.

I love Pinterest. It's like the bookmarks for your internet browser but you get to keep a picture up and a short description so you can remember why you kept that bookmark. You put them into categories like Food Stuff, Home, Kids, Photography Ideas - etc. It's way too much fun. Let me know if you want an invitation to join - because it's still an invitation thing for now. But it's really simple and way too much fun.

Did I mention you can see all the things your friends pin/bookmark as well? And you can see other popular things that are being pinned by others online too....like I said, way too much fun!

Today I came across this picture with a caption of Castle in a group called Fairytales.

For some reason I just got the biggest kick out of that. I think it's awesome that pictures of the temples are being pinned by someone who (likely) knows nothing of the church as a beautiful fairytale thing. They are fairytale things, temples. We don't live in them like a king and queen - but we do get married there and through the work done in the temples we can live "happily ever after." Really, we just have to get through mortal life first before the happily ever after part - but it can come. And isn't it great that we have the internet so we can post things like this and share our testimonies of the temples? By passing it on with a caption that includes that it is the Salt Lake City LDS temple I just shared the gospel with who knows how many people. Small as it may be - maybe someone will look into it. Maybe they'll send me a message...and maybe I can be a missionary too! (Even without growing a foot or two.)
